Recently, Indiehitmaker founder and president Bram Bessoff spoke at Georgia State University, as part of the National Collegiate Entertainers Group Speaker Series. The National Collegiate Entertainers Group, which is headquartered at Georgia State University in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, is a nonprofit organization that aims to use musical talent to fund higher education.
The National Collegiate Entertainers Group has subsidiary chapters run by students at campuses across the country, and desires to push the music industry forward by “attracting, training, and retaining talented and innovative young minds.” There’s a reccuring problem with college students looking to enter the music industry dropping out due to uncertainty, or failing due to a lack of practical and hands on skills. So the National Collegiate Entertainers Group works to give students the tools and knowledge they’ll need to succeed in the industry.
For this semester at Georgia State University, the CEG has put together a series of interview panels where industry professionals can share their knowledge and experience of subjects pertinent to the entertainment industry. Bram’s panel “The EPK and Social Media Promotion,” takes place on September 12th.
