Mega Ran, nerdcore artist elite, put all the pieces in place to assure his 8th solo album “RNDM” hit the Heatseekers Mountain chart at #2 this week.
After riding commercial success off the collab Soul Veggies with Storyville released earlier this year on Brick Records, Mega Ran began working with IHM to plan a presale campaign for his follow up solo record RNDM. In true Nerdcore fashion the album is a brilliant mixture of 18 hip-hop & chip-hop tracks dedicated to the gamer and comic-con geek in all of us as noted in the all-to-hook laden “Infinite Lives” ftg. D& D Sluggers.
Mega Ran has toured the world just returning from the UK where he brought his unique twist of soulful beats, nerd lyrics and classic Nintendo 8-bit sound to Manchester and Birmingham upon returning from Alaska. Read Mega Ran’s road journal from his first tour to the Great White North earlier this year.
The Mega Ran presale campaign consisted of 8 shows starting in Las Vegas, dipped into Canada to play Vancouver, returning to the states hitting Portland, Seattle and Phoenix before releasing on New Music Fridays 9/11. Read his back story and check out his upcoming tour dates as he plays a venue or comic con near you.
