Indiehitmaker founder and president Bram Bessoff spent some time in Europe this September, and this week we’d like to take some time to give a few shoutouts to some of the awesome musicians and performers he got to know over the trip.
The business trip started out in England, near Camden, to work more with IHM artist Arielle, who is developing a line of custom guitars ergonomically designed for women based on her signature “Two Tone.” Following a piece of advice from Arielle’s music director, Bram made his way to The Monarch in Camden and happened to walk into a showcase happening concurrently to the International Festival Forum. Bram spent time hanging out with the attendees of the forum, like the booking agent for Sting and U2, and got to see some great local bands at the same time.
Wild Front and James Walsh, two alternative indie acts put on a great show, standing out in the set alongside Lock, an all girl ‘dark pop’ band from London. You can learn more about Lock here, and make sure to check out their single “Click” here.
The band the stole the show, however, was Yorkshire powerhouse, Bang Bang Romeo. Fronted by incredible vocalist Anastasia Walker, Bang Bang Romeo has been making waves all over the UK and it was easy to see why. Bang Bang Romeo commanded the audience and performed with a stage presence far beyond their years. Bram spent another day in Camden, meeting lots of locals, and hanging out with lots of artists including Dan Warren, a session drummer, record producer, and owner of a studio in Shoreditch, performing with a street band outside Black Friar’s Pub, and Sian Unwin, a great local bass player.
After his time in Camden was up, Bram headed down to Monaco to network at the Monaco Yacht Show. Working closely with film producers, he met with many prospects interested in investing in film and music in IHM’s hometown of Atlanta.
While there, Bram was introduced to popular local electronic music artist, Vlad Scalla, who introduced Bram to Alex Hepburn, an up and coming soul vocalist who we’re proud to announce as one of IHM’s newest international partners.
