The first two months of the year are a critical time to explore ways to build your momentum plan for the year ahead to make your success soar. Here’s our 2019 Year In Review, what we started last year will be more important than ever for the months ahead in 2020!
Indiehitmaker offered our first Spotify Growth packages last January. Using two key techniques, playlist seeding and targeted fans, to get you more followers, monthly listeners, and song saves.
In February, we introduced to you a program that combines wellness and artist development from one of our partners, Dani Felt. Her program, the Artist Plugin Program, strives to pass on practical lessons about the ins and outs of the industry, but also how to create a healthy mindset and surround yourself with the thinking you need to succeed.
The following two months were full of knowledge to be shared. Thursday, March 14th, is the date that the Inaugural Georgia Production Day was hosted by Bram. Its purpose was to build awareness for the Georgia Music Investment Act designed to grow Georgia’s economy through music to create more production jobs for Georgia’s creative workforce. This monumental day also honored the life and work of Dallas Austin and included multiple performances.
Valuable opportunities were brought to the forefront in May and June. The chance to hone your craft with a knowledgable and talented faculty came in the form of a Summer camp in Los Angeles during May, called VocalizeU. This month, IHM also refined our original Spotify Growth plans into Monthly Spotify Promotions packages. In June, the creators of the music rights platform, The LABZ, offered one lucky Indie artist the chance to be featured in promo material for them. They are continually offering promotional opportunities and provide a top-notch collaborative platform, so check them out at their website here.
In July, we showed you how building your catalog can give you some extra income with Free Streaming Promotions. Indiehitmaker also has many services to help you build that catalog (discussed further in the original blog) that can be accessed when you become a Dropkick Smart Artist. Streaming promotions packages improved and evolved throughout the year, August is when our best Spotify Growth programs yet were launched. In the following month, we also released Youtube Promotions packages to help keep your momentum on the rise.
The time to vote for the 2020 Grammy nominees occurred in October and we unveiled quite the list of titles For Your Consideration if you are a Grammy voting member. Best of luck to those nominated!
